I don't know about you, but when I see or hear gut-wrenching stories about kids going through unimaginable suffering due to cancer, it hits me at the core. Knowing that there are children out there not getting the opportunity to live a life with any sort of normally is simply not fair.
So much so that it has motivated me enough to put my body through the ringer, as I have entered my first half-marathon (21.1km), competing at the Run Melbourne event on July 30, 2017.
It would make my day if you could spare any small amount you can afford. As I am sure each of you has heard even one terribly moving story of a young child suffering due to this horrible disease, and thought, "I wish there was something I could do..."
Well there is!! The Children’s Cancer Foundation aims to enable children with cancer to access the world’s best treatment and support. The Foundation supports families through treatment, partners with hospitals to deliver clinical excellence and builds world-class paediatric cancer clinical research.
All proceeds raised from my run will be donated directly to help this amazing charity do their thing. So please dig deep, as it will be appreciated more than you know!
